Have you ever wondered what’s behind the back doors with the “employees only” sign in hotels and restaurants? Most of the time, nothing more exciting than garbage, trash cans full of wasted food and members of staff taking their before heading back to work. And yet, at The Burger Joint nestled in the Parker Meridien Hotel in midtown, you’ll finally be allowed to walk across that door and enjoy the most secretly hidden burger of the city! Behind the reception of the hotel is a little corridor leading to a ridiculously tiny room where you’ll find a simple counter, menu hanging on the wall and no more than ten tables and a few seats. Useful tip: follow the burger neon light behind the reception and you won’t miss the spot!

The waiting line can sometimes be a little impressive but what’s the hardest part is to find a seat in the room. I suggest you go during off-peak hours to make sure you can sneak in and enjoy your burger in peace, or simply to grab it and go.

What we like about the menu? It’s burger only! Makes things easy! You build your own sandwich and add any toppings you like for a very reasonable price! Their fries won’t be the best you’ll ever eat but they do the job. Bear in mind it’s cash-only though!

What we like about the place? Perfect balance between the low-key yet trendy spot, come as you are, simple and quick, good lunch option! Don’t be surprised if you bump into one or two celebrities trying to enjoy a satisfying, non-fancy meal for once! But please, no selfie here, it’s a hidden place remember?!              Finally, we come to the Burger Joint at the Parker Meridien to enjoy the vibe and feel the thrill of entering by the back door. The whole process is very stylish, maybe even more exciting than the burger itself. You’ll tell us!
