Soho House & Co is to branch out into the creation of beach clubs following the acquisition of Scorpios and the 40-bedroom San Giorgio hotel on the Greek island of Mykonos.
The move marks the first step in Soho House’s plans to build on its existing network of 23 houses globally by creating similar beachfront locations in the UK, Europe, US and Asia. Founded in 2015 by Thomas Heyne and Mario Hertel, Scorpios is a beachside social retreat with a Mediterranean restaurant, bar, a bazaar selling handcrafted items, and event spaces and stages for sunset music performances. The adjacent San Giorgio hotel, on a hill above Paraga beach, has 270-degree views, a swimming pool and restaurant.
Scorpios will reopen following a winter break on Sunday 12 May 2019.
