Paris has a new plan to curb car use and tackle pollution.
The French capital wants to ban through traffic from 2022 and restrict motorised access to local residents, people with disabilities, public transport and delivery services. It should reduce total traffic
in four central districts by 55%. One hundred thousand (100K) less cars - this is a bold, bold move, for next year!
More European cities are on a quest to deprioritise cars. Oslo is going to phase out vehicles running on fossil fuels from next year, while places including Milan and London introduced congestion charges for vehicles entering their city centres.
