When the duo of Kirtanya and Thomas Von Matt decided to launch Bite back in August 2013, they knew exactly what they wanted to achieve. Laser-focused on customer service and kick-ass raw material for making the best Swiss-Canadian burgers in town. And quite frankly they made it a hit.
Located just off up and coming Langstrasse, The Bite is a hip cosy candle-lit space that focuses on just a few stuff and makes them right. As soon as you walk past the heavy curtain you’ll quickly notice that as the founders themselves welcome you and make sure you’re treated like a king. Mind you, those with a reservation handy may be treated even better (after all you’re in Switzerland!) so make sure you get on their website before turning up.
Using ingenious ingredient combinations, ranging from guacamole and coriander pesto to Asiago cheese with radish and miso-red wine sauce, Bite’s beef burgers will leave you drooling (it definitely had that effect on us). Their patties are thick and moist with their rich flavor being quite distinct – one burger, medium cooked, should be enough. Beef burgers can also be substituted with vegetarian patties, if that’s your thing.
