Arrive in Athens International Airport (ATH) where you’ll be greeted by our driver for your private transfer to your hotel.
Take your time to freshen up and take on a welcome stroll at your own pace around the Athens city centre. Check out our Athens Travel Guide, as well as one of the most buzzing neighbourhoods of them all: Syntagma.
Walk around Agias Irene’s square south of Syntagma and then head towards the old town of Plaka. A lovely and colorful stroll in the small alleys just beneath the Acropolis hill.
At night, you can have a lovely dinner at Cherchez la Femme for Greek meze or Proveleggios for a more creative twist. If you opt for the latter, try also Beauty Killed the Beast for drinks just across the street.
Early in the morning your private driver will meet you at the hotel to drive you to Piraeus port. Board the morning ferry for a ~4hr ride to Folegandros.
Once you reach Karavostasi port, head to the hotel for check-in and freshen up. Chill out by the hotel’s pool and come sunset time you can head to Chora for a nice walk around its alleys, or a hike up to Church Panagia.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before you head to Agkali bay. Lots of swimmers stay here for the day with the more braves ones hiking another 15min to Agios Nikolaos beach – a unique and quiet cove totally worth the trek! And Papalagi restaurant, just above the cove, is also a good idea for lunch or a quick bite gazing the Aegean sea.
There is also an hourly boat service that runs until 18:00 or 19:00 in the evening to get you back to Agkali bay if you’re not up for the trek back.
At night, wander around Chora and have dinner at To Spitiko. Very cosy and small, offering homemade treats like the signature dish of the island, matsata.
Skip breakfast at the hotel and instead go up to Chora for a delicious breakfast at Pounta at the entrance of Chora – fresh bread and other treats await, as you catch some of the morning action from the locals.
You can then head North to Livadaki beach (not organised) and combine that with a late lunch at Sinadisi. The fresh octopus drying out in the sun will definitely catch your eye as you drive by.
On you last full day in Folegandros try Katergo beach, yet another remote beach that you can get to by catching a boat ride from Kartavostasi port. The beach is not organised so you’d better budget some time to swing by a mini market or a bakery to get some supplies!
At night, you can visit Chora again for one last night with the locals. There are a couple of nice bars around, but Beez serves the best cocktails.
Enjoy a late breakfast at the hotel before you check out around noon. You can then catch the ferry back to Piraeus port in Athens.
Your private driver will be waiting for you at the port for a ride to your hotel in Athens.
For a nice and relaxing evening, opt for one of the rooftop bars to enjoy the view to the lit Acropolis hill. Retier at Ergon House is a nice option and the rooftop garden at Foundry Suites is equally good.
Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before you take off for one last private tour around the Acropolis hill and the Acropolis Museum.
Enjoy one last Greek coffee (or bite) in the city centre before you head off for the airport. Visit Queen Bee or Me Kolonaki in Kolonaki.
At the agreed time, your private driver will be waiting for you at the hotel for a private transfer to the Athens International Airport (ATH).
