Arrive in Athens International Airport (ATH) where you’ll be greeted by your private driver to take you to your hotel.
Take your time to freshen up and take on a welcome stroll at your own pace around the Athens city centre. Check out our Athens Travel Guide, as well as one of the most buzzing neighbourhoods of them all: Syntagma.
Walk around Agias Irene’s square south of Syntagma and stop at Krinos for some delicious Greek honey doughnuts.
At night, enjoy dinner at Cherchez la Femme for some tasty Greek meze.
Check-out from your hotel early getting ready for your private pick-up ride. Your private driver will take you Piraeus port so that you can catch the ~6hr ferry ride to Amorgos.
Once you arrive in Amorgos, check-in at the hotel and freshen up. You can spend the first few hours by the pool. If you’re eager to explore, head to Tholaria for a walk – the sunset is also very nice there and you can stop for a meze in one of the tavernas around. Otherwise, drinks at Seladi are also very good!
On your first day in Amorgos, visit Nikouria beach, one of the best beaches near Aegiali by taking a boat from Agios Pavlos beach. The ride runs every hour or so and takes about 20min to get to Nikouria.
For a similar experience you can also try Gramvoussa beach at the very south of the island. If you do venture south, you can also combine that with a nice lunch at Ston Pyrgo.
At night, you can head to Chora for a stroll around its beautiful alleys. For dinner, the best option is Apospero for some classy Greek creative dishes.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and make plans for the day. If you’re not into driving again, you can also opt for Psili Ammos beach close to Aegiali bay.
For lunch, call ahead To Steki tou Machera up in the mountain of Asfontylitis. Home-cooked dishes by Mrs Sofia are a real treat in this dessert-like landscape up north. Check our review for more details on how to get there.
Just before sunset, head to Chora for a nice walk, some drinks and funky vibes at Jazzmin and Botilia. If you feel like it you should try a local sweet at Loza. For late night bites, the pizza at Petrino is also good!
On your last day in Amorgos, visit Chora for a nice breakfast at Mayasi. You can sit under the lush trees in their cute little piazza reading your book and just enjoying your coffee.
Once you’re ready for some action, you can head to the Monastery of Hozoviotissa. Just check opening times ahead and make sure you’re ready for an ascend of ~300 steps.
Agia Anna beach is a nice choice for a quick dip in the crystal clear waters from the huge rocks, but Mourou beach (15min further south) is also good. Both very tiny.
Head back to the hotel and relax somewhere local in Aegiali bay or for the night. Tratarisma is a great confectionery store you may want to visit.
On your final morning in Amorgos, take a quick dip in Agios Pavlos beach which is very close to the Aegiali bay, before heading off to the Aegiali port for departure. The ~6hr ferry ride will get you to Piraeus port early in the evening.
Once you arrive in Pireaus port, your private driver will take you to your hotel. Freshen up and if you’re up for some drinks, visit one of the rooftop bars at Ergon House or have a pic-nic at the rooftop garden of the Foundry Suites.
Make your final day in Athens one to remember! If you have time before your departure, walk around the picturesque old town of Athens in Plaka. Explore the narrow alleys and the small cafes just beneath the Acropolis hill. For the most adventurous ones, visit the Athens Central Market or book a food tour.
In the afternoon, your private driver will meet you at the hotel to drive you to Athens International Airport for your flight back home.
