Photojournal: snapshots of the adventurous tales of Jamaica

Constantinos & Petros Sofikitis | 21 February 2018

As we set course for Jamaica, we were planning to roam around the country in 13 days! And although a couple of weeks cannot really help appreciate everything the country has to offer, we can safely say that with the people we met and the landscapes we observe, it was a bit like having lived there! We rent a car upon landing in Jamaica and drive to one of the highest peaks of the Caribbean to watch the sunrise. A place where at some point you start going on foot and walk for hours in the jungle in pitch black. We carried our canoes all the way from Greece to canoe in the turquoise waters of the Jamaican lakes, got lost in the jungle until we realised we were surrounded by a a swarm of fireballs! We explored the inner parts of the biggest unexplored cave of the Caribbean that rumor has it houses more than 200,000 bats! And along the way, we met beautiful people, heard their stories and drank Jamaican rum. When we left, we took those captivating memories with us along with some photos.
