Ice cream and summer is a classic combo, especially with the backdrop of a Greek island in the midst of summer. But when this is coupled with pure and fresh ingredients from mother nature, then taste gets to a whole lot of different level. Nonna Crema at Naousa, Paros, is the epitome of delicious ice cream so make sure you visit soon!

Katerina Ayfanti may not come from Paros but ever she can remember herself she had this idea of coming and living in of the Greek islands around Cyclades. Originally from Volos, Katerina set up shop in Paros back in 2012 when opting to spend her summer here. A restless soul herself, she spends all of her spring and summer on the island tending to young sweet-tooth travelers before she escapes on her own during wintertime as she ventures out for new experiences around the world.

The fresh milk she uses to prepare the ice cream each day comes from Paros’ co-op which puts to show the emphasis Katerina places on the quality of the raw ingredients. The flavours vary each day but if you are lucky when you next visit you may try their signature chocolate brownie. Additionally, we loved their fine salted caramel, their chewy pavlova as well as their classic stracciatella and dark chocolate. If you really can’t decide, they’ll definitely let you try as many tiny scoops as you like – their staff is super friendly!

Get your scoops and step outside to enjoy your ice cream properly. You may want to stay close in case you go for round 2!
