It comes as no surprise that we’ve recently spotted a floating orchard on the Hudson river in New York city as all things are possible in this side of the world. What’s more striking is that you now have the chance to ride it, take away some homegrown fruit and veggies right from the boat and enjoy a scenic cruise along the way!

Mary Mattingly, her crew and the Strongbow team, one of the most recognized cider brands in the world, created this beautiful thing out of a recycled container, namely now the Swale. New Yorkers can hop on for a ride, and apart from enjoying some good time can also learn a bit about the local agriculture and the importance of modern food. The container has been filled with apple trees and 400 other greens, ranging from celery to oregano and even asparagus! Until June 30th, the Swale is going to cruise along Brooklyn’s south side so make sure you catch a ride!
