Americans are known for their steakhouses and we have to admit they know how to make a juicy steak! 4 Charles Prime Rib, owned by the famous Brendan Sodikoff of Chicago’s “Au Cheval“, landed in NY over a month ago and it’s the place you should be visiting next!
Picture this… a 10 table restaurant, wood covered walls, classy art paintings, oversized dark red booths… the perfect combination of old-school and chic!
In case you’ve never visited Au Cheval, let me inform you that people queue for their famous burger for hours. So here’s your chance of getting a taste of this burger in NY.
Even though the menu may seem small, you’ll most probably end up in a dilemma as to what to order. So let me help you narrow down the list. Carbonara cacio e pepe in a steakhouse? Well YES I’ll have that and so do you! Bucatini, thick-cut bacon, pecorino and a fried eye on top will take your carbonara experiences to the next level.
Moving on, the American Cheeseburger (add thick-cut bacon for bacon lovers) should definitely be on the table, either as a shared dish (max for 2 people) or as an individual main course. As for their other options, their Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye steak is crispy, juicy and delicious! Don’t forget to add a portion of Golden Fries and Brussels Sprouts to your order.
Tip: Reservations are made only through Resy, and make sure you plan your visit way in advance, no matter the size of the party (2-6 people). I would also recommend considering a late night dinner, around 10 pm, as the place serves great cocktails as well (indulge in a Tokyo old fashioned)
