Londoners rejoice: Overnight tube service is finally scheduled to begin this August and it’s kind of a big deal.

Servicing over 1.3 billion people annually, overnight service on the tube—London’s underground railway system—will commence with some of the city’s major lines, such as Central and Victoria, followed by Piccadilly, Jubilee, and Northern next fall.

The announcement, made by London’s recently elected Mayor Sadiq Khan, is part of a city-wide effort to promote the city’s nightlife in addition to creating more jobs and opportunities for city-dwellers.

The 24-hour service comes nearly a year after it was first proposed, following a series of strikes with London’s Underground workers’ unions, Rail and Maritime Transport, and Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen.

According to London Underground (New York City’s version of the MTA), the following lines will be affected:

  • Central Line: Between Ealing Broadway and Loughton/Hainault
  • Victoria line: The entire line
  • Jubilee line: The entire line
  • Northern line: Service will not run on the Mill Hill East and Bank branches
  • Piccadilly line: Trains will run between Cockfosters and Heathrow Terminal 5
