Quick Service Restaurants are not really our thing. But when they’re well executed and also serve a creative menu for breakfast and brunch, we’re definitely won over. The Good Egg in London has started making a buzz in the city and rightfully so.
Nestled in the cute little shopping mall of Kingly Court just off Regent St, The Good Egg attracts a young crowd and starts get buzzing just before mid-day. So make sure you arrive on time, although service is quite good as tables tend to flip fast. Their menu is quite innovative, influenced by Israel and the Middle East with lots of spice and nice surprises for the average European traveler (or Londoner).
By far their best dish is the Shakshuka (also having won awards for it), but they also feature other interesting treats such as babka French toast, salt beef sandwich and Za’atar Fried Chicken – ugh! Probably one you would have for dinner, but still a top choice (although we didn’t get to try it last time we were there).
