Breakfast and brunch in the summer is scared, especially when you’re roaming the Greek Isles trying to find some decent coffee and eggs for your morning fix. Luckily at Fossa, they literarily offer one of the best menus across the whole of Greece and not just the islands part. International by design but Greek at the core of it!

Whether you’re the take-away type or the one that sips coffee for hours, Fossa is your place! Located in a small balcony on the main street of Chora, Fossa is a blessing for those that are in seek of some hearty bites before they head off to the beach. Antonis Stathis, a London barrista during the winter seasons, created this place back in 2014 with an aim at offering a Greek breakfast with an international touch. Expect to find all of the Greek goodies, sweet and savoury, be it the traditionally-made pies (even a proper bougatsa!) or the delicious savoury pizzettes. Most importantly, Antonis and his lovely team have got you covered with their delicious -heavy loaded- avo toast! And to top it all off, they even offer a decent chia pudding in a bowl! Yup. Make sure you get there before 12:00 when the island is busy, although tables do become available quite fast. There’s also an additional space down the stairs in a small veranda overlooking a nearby church and the sea which may also do the trick!
