BarBe is just about the only modern breakfast place you’ll find on the island – coupled with a friendly service and very tasty dishes, this will quickly become your breakfast spot.
Kimolos is a very quiet and protected place, keeping the noisy tourists away from it for now. So it goes without saying that this is not the destination you’ll find your breakfast bowl, your homemade granola or your flat whites. Thankfully, most of this is covered at BarBe just across the street from the main church in Chorio. We were lucky enough that the owners weathered the pandemic (BarBe was closed for most of 2020) and managed to open again in 2021. And we were there!

The menu provides options for the most demanding brunch addicts, be it avocado toast, fried eggs with Kimolian country sausage or homemade granola with yoghurt and seasonal fruit. But above all, the dish that won our heart was the french toast with chantilly, nutella and red fruit compote! The best way to finish a wholesome breakfast!
