They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Regardless of whether this is true or not, visiting Pounta will definitely make breakfast the most important meal of your vacations in Folegrandros.

Simple, traditional, colorful and extremely delicious!

Right before the main square of the town, you’ll find this unique local restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. In my opinion the best area for you to enjoy your breakfast is in the front of the restaurant, especially if you are a party of 2. On the other hand, if you’re interested in joining for lunch or dinner, you should choose their beautiful garden in their backyard, full of trees and flowers, creating a romantic set-up.

Owned by a Danish family for 20 years now, everything is meticulously organized, while even the ceramic plates, where food is served, have been designed by the Danish wife.

There is a great variety of options available for you to choose from, all kinds of eggs and omelets, crepes, greek yogurt and others. However, trust me on that, you should go for the combo breakfast. Apart from what one would expect, such as coffee and orange juice, they serve you some fresh out of the oven traditional bread along with delicious jams. As for the “main course”, you have the choice between an omelet or sunny side up eggs (obviously the eggs!).
