For most people, Lake Kerkini is an artificial reservoir created in 1932, and then redeveloped in 1980, on the site of what was previously an extremely extensive marshland. For brothers Constantinos and Petros Sofikitis it actually took a whole lot of new meaning when they visited recently, as part of a larger project their father took on with with acclaimed film director Angelopoulos.
