Photojournal: Hamburg, a city for everyone
First time in Germany, first time in Hamburg and first time so north on the map of Europe. Arrival on Saturday night, right in the heart of Hamburg's nightlife. A nightlife full of everyone and everything. Bars, clubs, pubs, stages, erotic boutiques, underground bars, restaurants, gay shows, movies, musicals, casinos and theaters. Τill the next morning. All coexist harmoniously. Everyone is free. All different and all like themselves. Hundreds of people. You do whatever you want, no-one cares actually about what you wear. And if this is not a real nightlife, then what is it?
One of the largest ports in Europe, Hamburg has numerous arched bridges. The Elbe river gives you the impression that you are in a town by the sea. The New Philharmonic of Hamburg is now the symbol of the city. A city that literally reshapes itself. Already a large part of the HafenCity project has been implemented. As a result, you admire on foot an entire district - modern, bioclimatic, with glass buildings, restaurants, offices, cafes and modern apartments. You admire the fact that the public space is for everyone. You admire the cleanliness, enjoyed by all. There is no noise. Cars stop for you to cross. This city is alive. This city has its own character. This city welcomes you to join its pulse.
