Dublin: Bunsen burger ritual
There's a few joints in the world where we tend to always go back to. Most of them are local, specialize in just one thing and are usually not too loud about it. Bunsen is exactly that. Juicy burgers and insanely tasting french fries in Dublin. As simple as that.
Tom Gleeson opened up his first burger joint in Dublin a little over 3 years ago, having developed a fetish for burgers during his time in New York's Michelin-starred San Bernardin. Later he apprenticed for heston Blumenthal at The Fat Duck before landing in Dublin with Bunsen.
Pure beef meat that comes with the toppings of your choice, fries and a soda. The bun is nice and soft (they make them all by hand here, meat is juicy and all of the toppings are absolutely spot on.
There are three joints these days in Dublin and patrons have to usually to queue up to 30mins to get a table, albeit things turning around fast in here. No bookings, unless you're a group of more than 8 people. Just turn up and you'll be thanking us later.
