The all-white streetfood store in Mets is creating all the buzz on Anapafseos street in Mets with the best hot dog around! And more that you can get your hands on on your next stop after drinks in the area.

Initially launched back in 2018, this tiny food spot of Mets used to offer cronuts. Admittedly, the cronuts were fine but the cool kids of Mets were more into something savoury after all that drinking around. Now Amerikana is back with a new and much more promising concept: the hot dog!
We took note of this small corner shop on a busy weekday we were out for drinks. Tables did not come plenty that night at all of the hip spots around so instead we opted for some al fresco dining at Amerikana. With a high sense of design and some bold branding, Marios Iliakis and Yiannis Tsortanidis created this hidden gem out of pure love. Just follow their website blog and you’ll understand more.
The raw ingredients are second to none and this is what makes this place so unique. Of course it is not your average foodtruck but it definitely has its vibe. Sourced especially for Amerikana, the hot dog is handcrafted by a British guy who now lives in Crete’s Chania. The white and carbon black brioche buns are handmade and as fluffy as they can get, enough to soak with whatever ingredients you’ll get to dress your hot dog in! We highly recommend sauerkraut and Camembert cheese or Naxos gruyere cheese if you really wanna go Greek.
To top it all off, you need to get your hands on the handmade ice cream! Just ask Marios which flavour is on offer that day. And you’ll have hit the jackpot if it’s the salted caramel one!
Way to go guys!
