High aesthetics, specialty coffee and all sorts of baked goods is what makes Oven manufactory a one of a kind third-wave bakery south of Athens in Glyfada. And to top it all off, they serve a long menu of healthy and dirty sin treats!

It’s hard not to notice the all white high walls that rise in front of you as you pass by Artemidos street in this leafy corner of downtown Glyfada. The only thing standing out is Oven’s  small black-painted logo at the top and if you’re a bit familiar with the brunch scene here you’d remember their first outlet in Voula. I first stumbled upon that during the covid days and it was a pleasant surprise amidst the cacophony apparent almost everywhere in this part of Attica.

Thankfully, a couple of years later Alex Triantafyllou and his crew are rocking it having expanded to nearby Glyfada with this brand new place you must visit soon!

Whether you’re here for a quick coffee, a baked treat for the road or a fully-blown brunch, Oven manufactory is the place you’re looking for. Apart from a clockwork crew that is manning the kitchen, the small terrace out front and the all-white countertop inside, they also offer a long menu with many delicious bits and bites to choose from.

The first time I visited I tried to stay on the healthy side and got myself a delicious overnight oats bowl from the bar, full of berries, chia seeds and granola. But as I kept coming back to this place I wanted to dig deeper so I made sure the company was fitting for trying much much more.

They serve the classic avo toast with sourdough bread they source from Alex’s family bakery in Piraeus that first opened in 1910. So needless to say, that’s a must just for the bread. But the more creative tsoureki French toast with poached egg, bacon and maple suryp is a real treat (maybe too heavy if you can’t handle a lot!). Last time we were there we heard their chicken truffle sandwich with red cabbage, gruyere cheese and mayo is also a killer! So here’s another excuse for coming back to this lovely place.
